Watching the 2014 Tour de France. My older cousins had raced growing up and they encouraged me to start riding after that. In high school I quit playing soccer and dedicated myself fully to cycling, which I realized is a lot more fun.
What’s the most difficult race you’ve ever done?
Stage 5 of Tour of the Gila. Atrociously hot and after four very tough days of racing. First 100km in the breakaway, and then cracked into oblivion for the last 2 climbs of the day. Had to give everything I had in me just to make time cut.
