How did you get into cycling?

I participated in the School Duel Races at the Redlands Classic for years as a kid, then on year I was watching the pro crit after my little public race and thought, "Man forget soccer, cycling is sick!" and here we are.

What’s the most difficult race you’ve ever done?

Stage 5 of La Vuelta Madrid U23. Hands down the hardest race of my life. Everything I had done in preparation was dialed: equipment, nutrition, training you name it. I was getting power PRs every other day at this race, and yet I was getting dropped like a rock by a 16 year old Spanish kid. What a day it was though. I had a blast.
